Community Champions are volunteers who work closely with local families to develop relationships and identify those who can play an active, leading role in their community.
Our Community Champions project involves working closely with local families to develop relationships and identify those who can play an active, leading role as community champions in their local area. Community Champions are supported to lead groups they are already involved in and identify other community initiatives they want to develop.
People taking part in the accredited program are provided training to help them understand what wellbeing is and to equip them to support the delivery of sessions in their communities. Participants are awarded the Open Award Badge of Excellence for Introduction to Understanding Community Development and Health Inequalities.
